Dear New Colleague,

Welcome to the Weener Plastic Kft. team! Before starting work, please read the following safety briefing carefully — it is the first step of your onboarding.

1. Personal protective equipment
Closed, slip-resistant safety footwear is mandatory in the plant area. Hearing protection is required in designated noise zones, and safety glasses are required during tool changes and maintenance. Your supervisor will provide the necessary protective equipment on your first day.

2. Injection molding machine hazards
Injection molding tools and nozzles can reach 200–300°C during operation — touching them causes severe burns. Machine clamping force can be several tonnes; reaching between moving mold halves is prohibited and life-threatening. You may only operate a machine independently after training and with your supervisor's permission.

3. Robotic cells and automated equipment
Robotic arms and automatic part-removal units can move suddenly and unpredictably during operation. Entering cells enclosed by a light curtain or safety fence during operation is strictly forbidden, even if the robot momentarily appears stationary.

4. Material handling and forklift traffic
Forklifts and material handling equipment operate throughout the plant. Use only the designated pedestrian walkways and pay close attention to reversing or turning vehicles. You may only operate a forklift with a valid license and your supervisor's authorization.

5. Fire and explosion hazard
Plastic granulate and certain auxiliary materials can be flammable. Smoking and open flames are prohibited throughout the plant, except in the designated smoking area.

6. In case of emergency
In the event of a fire alarm or emergency, stop working and proceed via the designated evacuation route to the assembly point. Learn the location of the nearest emergency stop buttons (red, yellow frame) and fire extinguishers on your first day.

7. Confidentiality and trade secrets
Production processes, formulations, tooling, customer data and other business information you become aware of during your employment are trade secrets, and may not be shared with any third party — including on social media — either during or after your employment. Photographs and video recordings on site may only be taken with prior permission.

8. Rules during the probationary period
During your probationary period, follow safety instructions with extra care, and ask your supervisor whenever you have a question or are unsure — this is expected, not a mistake.
